Being forced to stay in the gym for 5 hours must have been a really stressful experience, even without having to go to the bathroom. Having to hold your pee in for that long would be really difficult for a lot of kids your age -- I'd imagine, if you were all denied access to the bathroom for that length of time, you probably weren't the only one in your school to wet your pants that day!
It's possible that by holding it in that long, you simply over-stretched the muscles in your bladder, so that for awhile afterwards you'd have a hard time feeling when you have to pee until it's almost too late. One thing wasn't clear though -- have you always wet the bed every night, or did you just start doing that after this happened? Either way, I don't think you NEED diapers (unless it would make you feel more comfortable to wear them), but you should see a doctor if this keeps up for more than a week or so -- by that long, if the problem is simply an over-stretched bladder, it should have returned to normal on its own.
Also, make sure you go to the bathroom and pee every 2 hours or so during the day, whether you feel like you need to go or not -- that will help take some of the pressure off your bladder, and keep you from getting caught off guard by not feeling the need to pee until the last second. If you do that for a week or so, your bladder should be pretty much back to normal again and you should be feeling the need to pee in plenty of time. If not, make an appointment to see your doctor just to make sure nothing more serious is going on.
Good luck, I hope this gets better for you soon!

You may suffer from a weak bladder. You need to get your parents to take you to a doctor and he will probably ask you todo some tests..If it is that bad at school then embarassing as itis you could wear urinary incontinence pads so that you do not get bleaks in your pants. I know because Iwas like you a long time ago.

don't hold your pee...find a bathroom quick...i guess in your bomb situation, you should have asked the teacher whether u could go to the bathroom in the gym with a friend...and about wetting your bed every night...go see the doc about that...it's not normal if you cannot hold it overnight...and if you wake up overnight from it, then go let it out in the toilet...best for your bladders

The bomb threat was a terrifying experience. You may need to seek therapy for this. It's like soldiers in combat they may get shell shocked and it's most commonly called post traumatic stress disorder. Soldiers seek help for this sort of thing all of the time. I know...I was dumb enough to join myself. Anyway you have a nice day. If you're bored feel free to im me because I'm bored myself.

it is not "normal" but it doesn't mean anything is wrong with you. yes, you should probably go see a doctor, because you may have an overactive bladder. until then, i would wear a large overnight maxi-pad to bed, or if you are comfortable with it, a diaper

I don't think there is anything abnormal going on. I mean, you where in the gym for five hours! I can only hold my pee for about three and a half without bursting!

You need a doctor. Diapers only absorb the pee, they don't fix what's wrong, and it could be something serious. It could also be something little that is easily fixed by the doc.

I am 17 and I have that same problem. What I do is I tell myself "no more to drink after 5 PM". (you may pick a different time) and I follow my rule. Now I am dry 95% of the time.
