well the box that the ipod comes with should have a Cd in it, put that CD in you computer disk drive and Itunes will come up, not the store but just itunes its self, after that you might have to fill out some things like what you want to call your ipod and such and if you get lucky you might also get some songs that jut come with the ipod (Like me) though u probably wont like them and let your ipod download and get everything installed such as connecting the cable (there's only one to your computer and ipod) after that click on the link that says itunes store and it will come up, first you have to set up an itunes account where you have to give information and from there you can either, use an account or just buy the itunes redeemable cards from a store like best buy, target or the apple store itself.

also the Cd once you put it in should just come up and also don't forget to connect the cable but when your downloading it should take you through all of that.

You should have you ipod connected to the computer, then once you do that you put the cd software that came with your ipod into the computer and follow the steps. Once you do all that you should be ready to start putting music on it.

Alright, you need to download iTunes from the apple website mentioned in the manual. I can't find my manual just go to www.apple.com and try to find the iTunes downloader. Then when you have installed the program, you can customize setting for your iPod
