Both people live about 20-25 miles apart. You're lucky to spend time together maybe once a week. Yet you still talk on the phone or on AIM nearly every day. There are higher education and work obligations that caused this situation.

If both of you want to make it work, you will. I read an article the other day about long distance relationship (a friend of mine about to be in a similar relationship).

The article said that while it's important to tell one another you love each other and talk about emotions, it's almost more important to discuss everyday things. Talk about each other's days or about the trash being late or a lightbulb going out - whatever. That makes you more a part of each others' daily lives so that it almost doesn't seem like you're so far apart.

My boyfriend and I met while living 4 hours away. We saw each other on weekends, talked to each other daily. That was 4 years ago and we are still together. He was stationed farther away and now he's10 hours away. It will work if you both are committed to being together. Good Luck!

It will only work until one or the other person finds someone closer to their area that gives he or she the attention they require and are not getting from the other person that is long distance.
