While at work I've just got the one open here for playing. Every other dang window is open for fast information availability on the job itself.
At home, I usually have a couple windows for emails, one for Y/A, maybe one for 360, one for music, one for whatever I'm researching at the moment & that's about it. Open & shut as wanted & needed.

Music, email, People Soft, Order Track, Microsoft Excel, 2 IM windows and thats enough.
