To be very honest with you, rest is the only thing that will speed your healing time. It sounds like you were diagnosed with laryngitis which is an inflammation of the larynx.
An upper respiratory infection, especially a cold or flu, straining or overusing the voice, such as by prolonged loud talking, shouting, cheering, or singing, allergies. Exposure to irritants, such as smoke or chemicals.
Most of the time, laryngitis comes on quickly and lasts as long as two weeks
Furthermore, smoking, alcohol, exposure to cold outside air may worsen the condition. Drink plenty of liquids and NO TALKING. A humidifier can sooth as well as throat lozenges.
If you have not seen your Doctor, it may be a good idea especially if you have had these symptoms more than 2 weeks. There may be a contributing underlying condition that caused it such as colds, upper respiratory infections, Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) this is called reflux laryngitis.

Rest your voice from all talking. And drink lots of warm tea...with honey in it. Perhaps gargle with salt water twice a day.
Hope this helps.
