Here are the things I did my last pregnancy to help my early labor- Ate fresh pineapple Drank organic raspberry leaf tea, 3-4 cups per day (it's decaf) Ate lots of SPICY foods Had sex (semen DOES help to "soften" the servix, but may not actually help you go into labor) I was also up on my feet and physically active moreso once I was 37 weeks... I started contracting by the time I was 36 weeks, some days they would last for HOURS but would go away, finally, at 38 weeks 3 days I was in active labor... Ultimately, and frusterating for moms, baby won't come until he or she is ready. But since you're full term, have at it! :) Also, there are accupressure/reflexology points that help cause contractions and encourage labor, so look into that... Good luck, you are almost done! :)

Tell your boyfriend to chill out.....it's not like you're gonna get pregnant! This is the last time before there is that risk again! Even doctors give you the advice to "do it"!
Walking helps also.
This is stupid...but in my family we all did it and it worked....rearrange the furniture. Pick a room and start moving stuff around.....
Go take a nap! You're going to need the sleep. Once you get all nice and settled in...your water will probably break!
Good luck!

According to my wifes doctor, sex. The natural endorphines released from your system will strengthen your ability to deliver and the chemical process frm his release will soften the membrane surrounding the womb.
It was what casued the pregnacy and it could be what helps finish it too.
PS - Your BF won't hurt the baby, he'll help overall. Besides, was he scared when he got you pregnant - probably not! Just remind him that nothing is sexier than a pregnant women.
:-) Good luck.

Walk until you can't walk anymore. Then take a warm shower. Then walk again. If all else fails, eat the spiciest food you can stand. Crawfish ettouffe did it for me! It will upset your stomach and that can help your contractions along.

WALK WALK WALK!!! Gravity is still the law! I did that the week before I gave birth. I've read that nipple stimulation also helps, so if sex is out (even though anyone who took sex ed in HS should know sex won't hurt a baby...it's not like your bf is gonna squirt him in the eye or anything!!), try that instead. Try the suggestions in the link below!

Walk as much as you can! I was dilated to a 1 with my son but stopped. Walking really helped with the contractions though and when i got to the hospital they gave me something to start the dilating.

1. Find a 4x4 pickup truck, and drive it over a frozen newly-plowed field.
2. Motorcycle ride -- bonus points for serious air time in the jumps.
3. Go to the doc and see if he'll break your water to speed things along.
