It's either him or Michael Vick. That's a close one, but I think Vick is a tad more over-rated than "Gentle Ben".

I'm so tired of hearing the term "overrated" inorder for someone to be "overrated" there would have to be a lot of hype surrounding them and if you watch espn you'll notice nobody gives a damn what the steelers do now that they are out of the playoff run. ben is a great qb, he's incorporating more passing into the steelers offense, and the run game is not doing good, anytime that happens there are going to be mistakes made. that said, if you watch the games probably 1/3 of the ints he's thrown have been off the hands of one of his recievers, or when he's tackled because his o-lines not doing there job. Ben's had a bad year, but guaranteed when all this motorcycle accident/appendix/concussion drama is over he'll lead the teams to the playoffs, and then some, next year

No. Big Ben has been getting more QB pressures than any Steeler QB in memory. The offensive line hasn't been doing its job. In the first ten games he's played this season, Big Ben was sacked 36 times & was on pace to break the Steelers' all-time getting-sacked record (Cliff Stoudt, 51 sacks in 1983). In 2005, he was only sacked 23 times, and only 30 times in 2004.

This season, the third-year QB (remember, he's still very young) has been getting rattled. Once the O-line gets its act together, the Steelers will start looking like the efficient offense they've been over the past two seasons.

Overrated QBs? How about Jake Plummer and Brad Johnson, both of whom have worse QB ratings this season than Big Ben? And Michael Vick's play has certainly not lived up to the hype this year. In fantasy football, Big Ben is marginal, but in the real game of football, I am confident Big Ben will bounce back.

An over rated player is one who is said to be the best, the greatest, and on and on and on even though statestics don't back up the hype. I don't hear anyone hyping him these days so I can't say he is over rated. I think the whole team lacks concentration this year, including Big Ben. It is the same old story in sports, greatness is earned over a long period of time.

It really seems that Ben is off his game right now. When he had it clicking he was great. It seems right now he is holding onto the football too long and getting mauled by the defense. It also seems like he doesn't have the peripheral vision he used to have... hmmmm, could it be the motorcycle accident has hampered his reaction time and vision? Perhaps.

...NO you can't judge someone like Ben as overrated i have yet to hear of anyone on ESPN or where ever directly say that Ben is the Worlds Greatest Quarterback ever. (besides from the fanatic Steeler fan) He is simply a good QB, but is not playing like it right now.

Ben may not be the best quarterback, he may throw a lot of interceptions, but he throws a bunch of yards!! He's overrated in the a sense, but he certainly isn't all that bad... definetly not worthy as a fantasy football pick either. (had him, and had to drop him)

No..ben is a great young quarterback who is only going to get better. he is just having an off year as is the rest of the steelers..but i am one of those fanatical steeler fans who waited outside the hospital when he got hurt so i might be a tad biased
