Thats a hard one cause they both have special qualities, but they are worlds apart.
Both have past hurt burnt into the soul, but they both have different aspirations in life.
Rocky searches for glory, and to prove himself. while Rambo searches for a peaceful way of living.
However they both kick *** in the process. The Rocky story showed the audience more of the character than rambo did. So I'd have to say that Balboa's character is more deeper.

Rocky without a doubt.
The reason: Rambo was SO for the 80's action hero.

Rocky is more of a character (tough, but caring).
Rambo is just all about being tough.
