how do you take the dashboard apart. im trying to change a bulb on the instrument panel. all i can see is two bolts above the steering wheel. i've taken those off but the dash board is not coming off. is there some other bolts that i need to take off? if so, where are they located at?

well some of the plastic peices just pull off, be very careful not to break them. after you remove the instrument panal cover then you can see how many bolts need to be removed. pay careful attention to the plugs and such as you dont want to damage anything. if you take your time you will be ok

I had a '95 w/ digital instruments and I share your pain. It's two separate bults, and you should change them all at once. It's REAL PAIN as it's hidden WAY IN THE BOTTOM of the instrument panel. You need to take the whole thing out and dig far into the gut of it. Back then I had a dealer do it and they charged me 2.25 hours of labor to do it, even though the bulbs are only like $7.50 each. Now the lights on my '96 Contour went out and I am NOT changing it.
