Hmmm a "Free pickle" was the sweetest thing for you? Well I think free pickles are pretty sweet too! Anything free is sweet but I'd say for me the sweetest thing was raw sugar cane broken right off the plant and split in half. It is a little woody tasting but very very sweet. Central Amercians eat it like candy!

I had some dates cooked in a sugar syrup that a friend from Macedonia gave me a couple of years ago. I'm a sweet tooth (I put three teaspoons of sugar in my coffee), but I couldn't even finish one date because they were so sweet!
