I know that graphically it's way short of the Xbox 360, but how does it compare to the original Xbox?

It's supposed to be a 2-3 times as more powerful as the Gamecube, so it should be above the original XBox.

Due note that HDTV would pretty much need component cables the Wii does not supply, as without them would make the Wii games look blurry and other sorts.

Otherwise, it's fine. We just need more games to come out to see the real power of it.

One last note. Gameplay is far superior than graphics.

The Wii really has a more advantageous suited snap shots processor, yet few video games have had the attempt positioned into them to really make good use of it. The XBox and Gamecube were graphical opponents (XBox average slightly more advantageous suited, although the GC's lighting fixtures and mirrored image consequences were extremely more advantageous effective), and the Wii is about 50% better than the GC graphically. the only draw back is that the Wii and Gamecube used quite compressed textures, so even as searching at some thing up close, it may look washed out and blurry no remember what the builders attempt to do. yet another is that it does not output in 720p. in case you opt for good examples of excellent Wii snap shots: large smash Brothers: Brawl Metroid properly 3: Corruption Muramasa: the Demon Blade

no because the xbox has a faster drive, that can be made faster,it can both handle better graphics, and has better graphics,(i personally know from experiance)
