how do you delete stuff on mac like you would on PC (add or remove)

In general, Mac OS X applications are pretty good about not installing files all over the place, and Mac OS does not use a Windows-style system registry, so in most cases apps can be deleted just like other files, simply by dragging them to the Trash (and emptying it!).

However, there are a few applications that come with uninstallers or more complex removal instructions. Check the documentation and use whatever removal procedure is provided; if none is provided, then just put the app in the Trash.

If you want to get rid of your preferences file for that application as well, you can usually find it in ~/Library/Preferences.

If an application came with an uninstaller, use that, otherwise just drag it to the Trash and empty. You can find left over files by doing a search for the deleted app using Spotlight. You can Trash those preference files if you want, they don't take up much space on your hard drive.

Some applications come with an uninstaller but if it hasn't simply drag it to the trash and empty. Remember to go into the prefs and trash any connection that is in there.

Do a search for "Final Cut Pro" or whatever the program is called. Then just drag it back to the dock.
