They are the 2 families in the show Soap. The black guy's character was Benson, and had a spin-off of the same name. His real name is Robert Guillaume. He was also the voice of Rafiki in The Lion King and was on the show Sports Night.

The Tates and the Campbells were the two families in the TV show "Soap". The black guy was the Tates' butler, Benson. He went on to have a spinoff show.

They were the 2 families from the show "Soap". The two main characters were sisters, one became a Tate, the other a Campbell. The "black guy" was Benson, the butler for the Tates. Of course he is the same Benson who had a successful spinoff from this show. Great show, love it in reruns!!
