Should I get him beat up or should to do it the respectable way? It seem like my second choice does not work. What should I do?

Go through the courts and have his wages garnished. Fathers who don't support their own children should be shot!

Girl do it the legal way. Look in the yellow pages in the phone book, let your fingers do the walking. It's easier then putting gas
in your car trying to figure where to go, whom to see. There is
Lawyers out there that will help you get the money you deserve
to help raise those childrens. Don't do this alone, but I do say this
get a job, but if you already have one, good for you. Never give it
up no matter how much you stuggle, ask family members to help
you out on child care if you can afford day care. Another thing
there is proprams out there to help people like us single parents
(yes I too am a single parent). But the difference between you and I is that my oldest is 22 and the youngest is 9 and we help
each other out. Although she has her own little family of 4. But
anyways there is Support Agency out there that will help you
pay for your day care or your, Child Provider. It's called Child
Supportive Service's, ask around or check your local phone book. But back to your child support don't stop until you get
what the kids deserve, cause you can't do it by your self. It is
hard I know I had to do, I went to the child support department
and reported him and till this day he is still paying back and
my daughter is 22 years old. Thats what happens to dead beat
dads that think they can get away with not paying a dime, it's
either that or go directly to prison. As long as you see the money
coming in the children will have everything they need for school and food on the table. While you can pay the bills.

You can catch more flies with sugar than with vinegar. What kind of ex are you (I don't care what kind of ex he is). Most divorced woman want the kids, don't want to share them with the ex, want the ex to just to disappear, want to just get on with their life's with a new man. Just remember this, YOU are divorce from him not his children. The children are as much his as yours. That means you share all the child related stuff with him. Give him their school paper, tell him when PTA night is, when they get sick etc. Make sure you live within 15 minutes of each other. If you do all this he will be paying the child support and dishing out more out of his pocket. If you don't share the kids 50/50 (forget that every second weekend garbage) then you don't deserve any money and you are alienating their affection and he should be able to sue you.

First of all, GIRL GET YOUR MONEY!!!The best way to do it is to go to the attorney general and fill out the necessary forms to get it. You both will go to court. If he is a jerk he will ask for a paternity test. Nowadays it takes 2 weeks to get results. Then when you come back to court, ask for the money to be witheld from his check instead of trusting him to pay on his own(he'll never pay that way). It will take about 6 weeks before you start receiving payments. They even have direct deposit. They will ask him to make the first initial payment on his own, which he most likely will not do. Just don't let him get away without paying.

you know, i cant help but look at this from a different point of view. i too was a single mom for 10 years. didnt get a dime. his order is $175 a month. not too unreasonable i would say.

but some guys are ordered to pay an OUTLANDISH amount of childsupport to support their kids. and frankly they just cant afford it. some have to work 'under the table' jobs to just be able to live and pay what they can pay.

so, take a look at what he is ordered to pay. be fair about it. is it too much? if it is, get it lowered and go after him. if it isnt, do it the legal way, go thru the state and they will take his taxes.

You sure the heck arent going to get anywhere trying to beat it out of him. Take him to court and do it the legal way, if he still doesnt pay then he will get his license taken away and then if he still doesnt pay he will serve his time in jail. There are some sorry dads out there and he is one of them.( But there are some good ones too). Its ones like him that give men a bad name.

The courts system is the only way it can work, and you have to call and make them enforce the support sometimes. child support takes work and you really have to stay on top of the situation.

Contact your states Attorney General. If you can afford to get your children's father maybe you don't need child support

Through the courts. You might end up in court if you have him beat up as you suggest.

If you find the answer to this one, you will be a heroine to soooooo many American women...

My sister, finally, went to the extremes of threatening to force HIM to raise their two sons who were, at the time, just entering their teens.

He feared that more than he disliked paying for his children.
