No - he looked like he was about 12 years old until he turned 60.

He used to be an actor - did all sorts of "gee, we need a gazillion dollars to save the farm, let's put on a show here in the barn" movies!

Well, he's really old. Born January 14, 1919. He was already working as a correspondent in the Army during WW2.

When you are elderly you too will look like it! Believe me, you won't stay young-looking forever even though you think you will. Won't happen. You are just used to seeing Rooney in his later years and have never seen a youthful photo of him.
