I am always depressed, and around the holidays it always gets worse. I do not have a lot of family left any more and I miss them all very much. It is not the same without them, I have tried to move and make new memories but it is never the same, and that hurts a lot.

I feel your pain...my Grandpa died on 29 Dec, right after X-mas and right before New Year's so it makes those two holidays kinda hard.

Sorry for your loss, Gimli. The month of Dec is a trying month with all this big hoopla. Hope time will heal your pain.

Truly sorry for your loss. You may never really get out of that blue funk every year, but you could seek some counseling or try to keep your mind occupied with friends and family as much as possible. Again, so sorry.

Yes, the holidays tend to make us depressed- the winter, the cold, the sun setting so early. And on top of that your situation. December is not a happy month.

We can't change the day that your mom died, however, you can focus more of her life and how did she celebrate it. My mom died on 9/11 so it's hard to ignore, but we make a bigger deal out of her birthday. Talk to your mom, she will always be with you.
You can always write to me if you still get sad.

Sorry for your loss
I was depressed but nothing that a good bender didn't fix and a bowl of homemade soup will restore a smile.

Sound about right. Mine died during the holidays too. It makes it harder because its more quiet..but then I think...If she was here..she would be up making some crazy noise..so I will do it for her this year and keep the tradition going.
