When I was a kid back in the 1960's, we'd play with Matchboxes, which are miniture cars, trucks, etc, the size of matchboxes. Do they still make them?

Matchbox still exsists, and produces cars yes. A few years ago Mattel (maker of HotWheels) and has been dubbed the "little brother" of HW's. They mainly cater to the younger children making things like trucks, construction equipment, buses, and so on. While HW's have more of an older child/adult following.

The current Matchbox cars no longer come in a "match box", but rather a piece of cardboard with plastic bubble, just like HotWheels.

There is one line of Matchbox that has recently resurfaced. "Superfast" has made a comeback and have been very popular since their release. They come with the small cardboard box that the old Matchbox used to come it.

Go to Walmart, Target, Toys r Us and you should have no problems finding HW's or Matchbox. HotWheels come in the Blue package, while Matchbox are released in an orange or yellow package.

Yes! Any toy store,Ebay or child will have Matchbox or Hot Wheels cars. They are still fun! Though you might want to play them with a child to appear "cool"or nostalgic instead of playing alone. The places where they collect toys love to have these for the holidays in case you go out shopping and want to share the joy you remember!

We have Hotwheels, which are popular today. I don't think they make Machbox cars anymore but you can still buy some on Ebay for around $6.
