I have lots of friends called Vicky, but they aren't that happy with their nicknames. Many have been teased in childhood.
I would call her Tori. Or use a middle nae.

I really like the name Victoria but I hate both Vicky and Tori. There's something too harsh about Vicky and it's too close to "icky"

I personally don't like the name Victoria or Vicky. But if that's what you decide to name her I would call her Victoria.

My name is Victoria and people have been calling me Vicky forever! Family, friends, doctors, teachers! I can't even remember anyone asking me if it was OK or not. They would just assume that it was my nickname or that it was OK to call me that. long story short, people are going to call your daughter this whether she likes it or not. Once she gets old enough she will be able to voice her like or dislike for this name. Personally it grew on me but I would have much rather been called Tory. Hope this helps.

Personally I prefer Tori as a nickname rather than Vicky... for some reason Vicky reminds me of a 40ish woman working in a government office ... no idea why though!

My best friend growing up was named Victoria, and she always went by Vicky, as Victoria sounds too pretentious for everyday use.

One of my best friends names is Victoria, she loves her name, but sometimes goes by Vicky. If she loves her name who cares what everyone else thinks. Love ya Vicky.

You could call her Vicky if you wanted. But I personally don't like Vicky. It's like "Icky Vicky!" But you could also call her Tori... or just simply ONLY call her Victoria.

I love Victoria, and would correct people who want to use a nickname. If you HAVE to use a nickname:,be different: neither Vicky nor Tori: how about Ya?

Personally, I think that Vicky is cute, but I also think that it is a middle-aged or older woman's name.
Does she really need a nickname? Victoria is beautiful and elegant.
