George Best was probably the best footballer in Britain. But also we cannot forget Geoff Hurst who won the World Cup in 1966 for England, scoring a hat-trick the final.

I think the question is too open but may I suggest for pure footballing skills though a lot of the guys he played with didn't have the brains to play with him Jim Baxter of Raith Rovers fame
