I was wondering if it is possible to get pregnant having unprotected sex one day before ovulation, and one day after ovulating? What are my chances?

Conception can absolutely occur if intercourse takes place on the day before ovulation; in fact, studies suggest that this provides the best chance for conception. And at least one study (from 1995) concluded that while conception can occur if intercourse takes place during the five days preceding ovulation or on the day of ovulation itself, it cannot occur when intercourse takes place after ovulation. The reason: although healthy sperm can stay alive for several days, an egg, once released, is probably available for only a matter of hours. Further, it takes several hours for sperm to reach the egg.

I have seen other data that suggests it may be possible to conceive when intercourse takes place on the day after ovulation, although I don't think that theory has a whole lot of support. The bottom line, as I see it, is that we just don't know all there is to know about human reproduction (to say the least).

All that being said, you do ask what your chances are.... Even if you're charting, temping, monitoring (unless by daily ultrasound), etc., it really is all just a "best guess" as to when ovulation occurred. Granted, that guess can be excellent, but it's not like we can figure it out to the minute. So if you've had intercourse any time at or around the time you think you ovulated, you have a chance, in my book. Good luck!

Yes you can get pregnant one day after ovulation. You can not get pregnant one day before ovulation because you need an egg cell and a sperm cell to meet in order to conceive. However if you have sex a day or two before ovulation the sperm can actually live inside you for up to 7 days, so as soon as you ovulate you can get pregnant. Usually when an egg is released it will travel to your fallopian tube from the ovary and it can stay there for up to 24 hours before degrading. Most women ovulate 14 days after the start of their period but this is not true for all women.

yeah if you do some research it actually is ideal to have sex before you ovulate when you ovulate and just after to make sure. The egg can live up to 12 hours but sperm can survive much longer. There is a good chance you can be pregnant as we cannot be totally sure of the exact day that you ovulated only approx times. Goodluck.

Yes. Ovulation is a 14 day time period in your cycle in which at any point the egg can release and it is impossible to know which day it's going to be. Sperm can live in your body up to 48 hours, so anytime around ovulation is a good time to try to get pregnant, bad if you're not trying though!

Infertility can be caused by a huge number of factors: hormone imbalance, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, Endometriosis, Anovulatory Cycles, physical blockage, inadequate hormone production, short luteal phase, lack of lutenizing hormone, high levels or prolactin, and many others. How to get pregnant https://tr.im/aAqBF

Poor nutrition often plays a major role, as does exposure to toxins. Age plays less of a role before menopause than was originally thought. While there are many wonderful naturally minded fertility specialists out there, in many cases it is not possible for them to test for and address any of these possible underlying issues.

Now everyone can cure infertility using this natural remedy http://pregnancyhelps.info
infertility can run in the family and one of the first things the doctor asks you when you go to a fertility clinic is your family history regarding cases of infertility or other reproductive issues.
If infertility is caused by genetic disorder then it's not unusual that one of the kids (your mom) doesn't have it and another does (your aunt).
two months of trying is still to early to be concerned about the fact that you might be infertile and it's also quite early to go to a fertility specialist. Go to a regular Obgyb to get a closer insight and see what ways there are are to improve your fertility rate.
Also remove alcohol, caffeine and cigarettes from your life because they might influence your chances too. Stress is also a risk factor when it comes to infertility.
