I am a quiet person. I like 1 on 1 discussions. I'm someone that rather listens than talk. So, I'm not the one to yell Hi with a big smile on my face, grab people by the shoulders and ask "how are you"! But I still want to make a good first impression!

To make a good first impression just be who you are. I have always thought that you have to do all these special things to make a good first impression, but when you are all done doing this you have become someone that you weren't in the first place. If you start out thinking when you meet someone think to yourself "this is who I am and this is who I will always be". Based on first impressions people will always expect what you have shown them and if that changes later what are we telling them about ourselves? That we change with the situation and with who we are talking to. So, to me if you want to make a good first impression just be yourself.

I have the same problem. I'm a very quiet person and get nervous talking to people face to face. Just be yourself. Be calm when talking to someone you don't know. Try and break the ice by talking about something general. Then ask the person stuff about them and then you don't have to talk!!! Hope this helps...

You might have to teach yourself to get out of your comfort box, talk to people, the more practice you get, the easier this will get. Plus the more sociable you are, the better your chances are at making a good impression. sometimes when we are quiet we give off the impression that were are dissinterested or rude.

Accentuate your most positive features. A quiet person is a good listener. Introduce yourself (in a way in which you are comfortable) and then ask the other person about himself or herself. Just keep up your end of the conversation in an even. and honest way.

blah blah blah im not reading everyone elses ****, get to the point already (see how good of an impression i make?)
i dont like big groups of people either, unless i know them
call it paranoid, you shouldnt trust anyone you dont know anyways
you can be quiet anyways, i always am around people i dont know, just watch, and learn, figure them out and youll have the advantage
