We don't all, my parents didn't. It disgusts me when people do though.

It's not just Americans who have children before they are married. I suppose the reasons why are the same for people of any nationality - sometimes they make mistakes. If the child is conceived on purpose, perhaps the mom or dad wants to raise the child alone.

I don't think they plan on it, many people are having premarital sex and the women nd up pregnant-so some choose to marry then. It's not like an American tradition to get knock up.

northern Europeans do this more than Americans.
Frankly, I find Americans a bit more on the traditional side.

they don't always want to have kids, but sex before marriage is so accepted now in modern america, that it often happens.

because they like it. or their probably too young, and not make the right choice sometimes.... for teens....
