oh, but patience is a virtue and one can truly wait for just about anything.
i would bide my time with other literature that i have not yet consumed until the book i am waiting for is released.

It would depend on the particular book. In general, my answer would be about twice as much as the cover price would be new. But the price could be higher or lower, depending on my expectations for that particular book and how badly I was wanting to read it.

Also, it would depend on the method of aquiring the book. If I had an advanced copy, I would still want to aquire that through legitimate means. I definitely don't support anything like those people who stole a truck full of the new Harry Potter novels a few years ago, and wouldn't purchase something aquired in that manner, regardless of how badly I wanted to read the novel.

I payed 400 dollars for the Lord of the Rings trilogy book.
My mom bought me one for christmas a couple of years ago and I sold the one I bought on ebay for over 700 dollars.
