i use paraffin wax and everytime i put it in the mold and it hardens it sinks in the middle. how do i make it stop doing this. i have four silicone molds that i am using. i am just starting the candle making process so please if you have any suggestions i would greatly appreciate them!!! thanks again!!

It could be that the wax is too cold when you are pouring or that you aren't tapping it hard enough.

The wax is too hot and shrinks as it cools. Let it cool to where a skin starts to form on the surface of the melted paraffin before you pour it into your molds.

I dont make candles...but i have used a candle warmer that totally liquifies it....that happens when it cools down slowly...i found if it cools faster, it stays completely level.....try that...maybe it'll work. Who knows though, thats just an observation, not an expert by any stretch.

are you filling the whole jar at one time? if so don't.do half and let harden then if it does not sink finish filling it the next day. when i started out this happened to me. practice makes perfect. what are you using to keep the wick in the middle? that's very important so the candle burns evevly down. it takes practice and patients thanks
