You can still get them in some toy shops - my nephew loves them. They're still really cheap.

Yes, I remember them very fondly from my childhood days - that's why I sell them in my little toy shop. Granted that's not a lot of use to you unless you are in the West of Scotland.

Hawkins Bazaar do have a big polystyrene plane, but not the type that your boyfriend means, as far as I can see.

We don't sell them online unfortunately, but seeing as it's Christmas, if you still can't find them, go to my website and drop me an e-mail with your address and I'll send you one.

Cheers

Duncan

Hello.
I used to love these things.
You can still get them at some toyshops and corner shops, but for a more reliable supply, you could try Hawkin's Bazaar.

I love this shop. They sell all the cool stuff I remember playing with when I was a kid. (deep link supplied)

All the best.

I used to love those things! The last one I had was actually a freebie from Capital One trying to entice me into more debt! The cat killed that one! The only other place I've seen them is at Air Shows.

you can still buy them they were made of bulserwood at one time with a elastic band and early 1960's i decided to scale one up and built one out of backs of old wardrobes in England at that time there was a lot of utility wardrobes chucked down the pit at the back of my house in greenhithe kent and i decided to launch myself from the shed roof hoping to fly all i could achieve was six foot out and ten feet down in a crumpled heap. i had worked it out by running down the garden and it lifted as i ran :but i did not take in account of the weight of my body. so i launched the thing unmanned from the top of the shed it took off and in a split second crashed into the roof of the next door neighbours shed ripping a part of the tar roofing they were out at the time so i repaired it with treacle and stuck the flaps down. can you imagine a man waking in the morning shouting f*&+k$*g hell theres wasp all over the shed and they ripped the bloody roofing. it was then a young boy gave gave a sigh of relievf

Try any good toy or model shop. Look for the brand names "Airfix" or "Revell" (in the UK). God, now I'm showing my age.
