if you say " I am sorry" when they are telling you something that it means you are accepting blame? I often say I am sorry to people and have my entiore life, even when I have not done something wrong. I was raised with values, ethics and morals. I was taught compassion, empathy and understandingness. When someone tells me about a bad event, or some unpleasant thing I say I am sorry indicating a sense of sorryfullness for the situation for their pain for the road not being smooth for them at that point. Just as people ask questions for differnt reasons, it is not always to seek knowledge. Saying one is sorry also, is not about accepting blame. What has happened over the years to change good manners into a black and white right or wrong world. I do not plan on loosing by empathetic nature but I sure wish people would understand this more deeply.
