They view it as a weakness they could take advantage of. They see people bashung Bush, and they realize that our country is not as united as we say. If we stopped the bashing of Bush, the terrorists would say "They really are united" and their confidence would go down. You don't have to like Bush, but people should and must show a little respect towards the man.

I can't speak for our enemies but I would say they see it as a motivation for their cause.
I mean like if the shoe were on the other foot and we were hearing the leader of a country attacking us being bashed by its own ppl, I am sure that would give us motivation and justification for our cause.
Yet with that said, that still doesn't change my mind about bashing Bush. As a true American, it is my duty to stand up for my country when I think a madman is leading it into destruction.

Watching a program on DiscoveryTimes yesterday, this subject came up. The author was a NY Times reporter (I was amazed too) and when he asked different people in areas of the ME, they replied that it shows weakness in the will of the Americans to finish what they started and proved to them that we are wrong in our efforts in the region. This does not surprise me. Rather than worrying more about winning an argument here, it might be more productive to discuss. But I know for some, it isn't as much fun as name calling and trying to humiliate others. This goes for both camps.
And should you make the mistake of believing they are not watching us, you better remember that Iran just this week blocked the website YouTube. Wonder why......

They believe it shows the strength of America. The people can bash the President and the government without going to jail. God Bless America, the land of the free.

Well, whatever conclusions they are drawing it certainly isn't working to our benefit.
Our enemies have seen the resolve of America crumble. They are succeeding and it has nothing to do with what they are doing to us. It is people like BeachBum and Informed Liberal that are tearing this country apart. Phrase your supposed patriotism any way you want ladies. You are playing an important role in favor of our enemies.

Who cares! He deserves all of it and more! Bush has done a little bashing and lying of his own!
Are your morals dictated by "Our enemies", whoever they are? Is that how you make your judgments? Bush is seen as the enemy by many Americans' including me!
Yea, ask the Dixie Chicks about free speech and George W. Bush! The Chick's know there is a 1st Amendment to the US Constitution! Bush thinks the Constitution is "Just a piece of paper!"

They aren't as stupid as we all like to think. I'm sure that they understand that in the US, like everywhere else in the world, there are people with differing opinions and people in opposition to whatever leading party is currently in place. They probably take it with a grain of salt.

Alex, you know they love this. It's pitiful. Hey, it's okay to say you don't like Bush, I'm not his biggest fan either, but the only contest left for the democrats is who can come up with the most demeaning smear about our president. Hey, talk about impeaching him, say how you disagree with his policies, but RESPECT the office of the President, and THINK about what message you give America's enemies with the things you say.

They are probably greatly enjoying it. But for some people bashing Bush is more important than defeating America's enemies.
