My kids went low the last month or so. So, unless something else is happening, Jan 6th looks good.

I'm due today and have had no pains what-so-ever =o( I also had a show two weeks ago, today my tummy is having a few twinges, but I think it's all in my head! My friend who is also pregnant and due friday went into labour last night though! I think your could be labor starting, it certainly sounds like it. Just keep an eye on the pains, time them etc! Good luck!

Was it up higher recently and just dropped? Dropping is usually one of the first signs that labor is getting closer - but it can happened from weeks to days ahead of the start of labor. I don't think it has anything to do with lack of exercise. I'd say with your due date, dropping now sounds like a normal time frame. Good luck!

Are you sure it isn't 2007? Otherwise you are very overdue!!!! Hehehe, okay jokes aside... everybody carried differently. This one is so low I feel like I've been sitting on his head for months. So far no luck with delivery though! It could mean that his head is much lower, but your doctor can let you know that with one of those lovely exams.

I think you meant January 6, 2007.
I carried my son very low from the start of the pregnancy. It felt like he was coming down throughout the whole pregnancy. It felt so uncomfortable because my stomach was low and heavy.

It means that the baby has "dropped" and moved into position for its grand entrance to the world. If you had any back pain before, it should lessen, but you'll feel more pressure "down below". You're only talking a couple weeks early, nothing to worry about.

The baby might have dropped already.
Iam due the 22nd of Jan and my little guy's been down and fully engaged since 31 weeks. I just havent dialated or effaced or shown any signs of labor.
Some babies are just in a hurry to get in place... lol.

If the baby was up higher before and has recently dropped, and since this isn't your first delivery, I'm inclined to say yes. Everything I've read says that first children drop up to 6 weeks before delivery, but subsequent babies usually drop immediately before labor starts. Don't take my word as gospel, though. I'm just an EMT, not a doctor.

The stomach always drops before giving birth, but I am pretty sure that you'll make it to your January 6th due date!!
Congrats!!

If the baby has dropped, that can help speed along the last stages of pregnancy before birth. However, I was 2 weeks overdue with my daughter and she had dropped weeks before. It's like everything with pregnancy--it varies.

IT MEANS THE BABY IS GETTING READY FOR HIS DELIVERY, YOU WILL FEEL MORE PRESSURE AND HAVE TO TINKLE ALOT MORE. Good luck with your birth, and CONGRADULATIONS. And you might have your baby earlier than you think.
