Will managed care improve Health Care in the United States?

I love doing homework for people....

We already have managed care. They're called "HMO's" They've been around since Kaiser introduced the idea to his shipyard workers during WW2. In general, they're great if you're healthy, and really stink if you're chronically sick.

I have a feeling that this question is begging the issue of national health care tho.....
