Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah vowed Thursday that the Lebanese opposition will not surrender in its mass protests to bring down the Western-backed government.

"Those who are betting on our surrender are having an illusion," he said. "We will not go out of the streets before we achieve our objective to save Lebanon."

"We insist on our demands, for the formation of a real government of national unity... because it is the only means to prevent any foreign tutelage on Lebanon, so that we have Lebanese decision-making."

Nasrallah also said that the protest was peaceful, civil and civilized, and pledged that the death of a 20-year-old Shiite opposition supporter after street fights on Sunday would not lead the protesters to violence.

"When they killed Ahmed Mahmud, they wanted to push us to clashes... I tell them... we refuse civil war and discord," he said.

Nasrallah's speech was broadcast live on two big screens to thousands of cheering opposition protesters who have been gathering since Friday outside the government s offices in central Beirut.

The opposition led by Hezbollah vowed on Wednesday to stage a new mass protest in Beirut on Sunday in a bid to topple the Western-backed government of Prime Minister Fouad Siniora.

Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Seniora called on Thursday on the opposition to return to the negotiating table after his efforts backed by several key Arab and European states as well as the US to dissuade the protesters from continuing the unprecedented rallies failed to produce any results.

Hezbollah is destroying Lebanon. They attack Israel routinely and Israel's invasion occurred because Israel got tired of getting attacked continuously. Nasrallah caused great destruction in Lebanon by using civilian facilities to shield his troops. Had the troops fought from bunkers away from civilian populations, there would have been very few civilian casualties.

Now Nasrallah is trying to destroy the Lebanese economy by protesting. A successful Lebanon will prevent Nasrallah from taking power, so he is doing everything he can to stir division and anger while destroying the economy.

I refuse to personally identify Hizbullah as anything more than it is. It is Iran's private mobile army bent on carrying out the wishes of Iran's fanatic leadership by destroying Israel and anyone who is considered a friend of Israel. Their mask needs to be very publicly removed so that all may see them for what they are. They are kidnapping murderers who hide behind the safety of women and children. Their little campout is designed to put pressure on Seniora and the government of Lebanon to give up any power they have to resist the wishes of Nasrallah and like-minded followers of Iran.

Simple answer...I do not recognize Hizbullah for anything more than it is. A group of well founded fanatics operating in the best interests of Iran's gang of super zealot leaders.

"The intelligence official said that he "never saw any evidence" that Sadr's organization sent personnel to Lebanon this summer to fight against Israel, but said he had heard talk that some were sent there to be trained by Lebanese members of Hezbollah, an organization funded by Iran's Shiite government.

He said there was evidence that the Iranian government this year had escalated its efforts inside Iraq.

"The whole year, yes, it has stepped up," he said. "More training in and out of Iraq. More coordination with Hezbollah. More advisers."

"save Lebanon" says it all. they believe the following of Mohammed, the Caliph and shariah law is the way of the world. they will not stop until any non follower are dead or they topple every western ideology. They are backed by Iran and will continue to have that backing. They would be doing the same thing to Iraq if we weren't their. (actually they are in a way) Its so hard for people of this country to see what they are doing because its not something we are ingrained to understand. They dont have beliefs of bettering them selves out side of Islam. Someday we will be woken but I hope its not too late.

Hezbollah are a terrorist group which is a puppet of Iran! They murdered 243 US Marines in Beirut in a barracks bombing and decided to kill and capture a few Israeli's in Israel!

Hezbollah should be wiped off the face of the earth as they are murderers and thugs!

Don't tell me about America's past, like the CIA overthrowing a Democratically elected government in Iran by orchestrating terrorist attacks and blaming them on the Democratic President! Now look what we have!

Sounds ominous for the Islamic u . s .. Im fairly specific there are a number of Muslims accessible on the instant asserting.... " good day chum......... communicate for your self." purely further information that they dont care approximately their fellow human beings. all the muslims in this international ought to burn for all they care, as long because of the fact the hated Israel is destroyed. properly, theyre in for one hell of a rude awakening now. bear in concepts that this entire element must be over already if Israel needed it to be. All with widespread weapons.
