So far people like you don't like the answers that Republicans give. Fore health care the best solution is personal responsibility. I have been unemployed before but I made sure that I had health coverage. As for alternative fuels and energy sources, any that either side brings up the environmentalists or the Liberals such as Kennedy blocks the creation because of "not in my backyard". Also, under the last Democrat President the United States was attacked every single year either at home or abroad and the Democrats did not a thing. Finally, how do you suggest paying for all of the government added mandates? You already have members of the Democratic party complaining about payroll taxes being too high for the poor who will rely on Social Security and Medicare the most when they retire. So far there is no good solution coming from either camp on anything and with a projected 2 trillion dollar deficit this year, how can we sustain what the Democrats are pushing? Taxing the rich will not fix this short fall you will have to increase taxes across the board and hope that we can keep businesses here with the increased environmental laws and other laws that make businesses in the United States even more non competitive with any other Nation.
