Clothes don't have that stink that softeners add (they call it perfume or "fresh scent" or whatever -- yuck), and don't have that sort of oily coating to them.

In other words, nothing bad happens. Softener is unnecessary, though I guess it helps cut down static.

nothing really i have washed all my clothes without softener and it turns out OK but softener makes it feel fluffy ,soft and smell really good

Your clothes will feel coarser, and you'll have more static. It's not a huge deal; I almost never use fabric softener.

The clothes get sorta stiff and cling together, then they tend to give you a real shock, beleave me I know for a fact .

Nothing unless you like your cloths to be statiky....but nothing major or unfixable for that matter!! Just use a dryer sheet and everything is fine!!

Nothing bad, don't worry. I never use it and my clothes have no problems, I don't even use dryer sheets. Just the detergent to wash and nothing in they dryer.

Don't forget to sort!
