Since the spread is ONLY a function of where the money is going in Vegas in the interest of balancing books it is no indication of who will actually win the game. Frankly, I expect to see the spread tighten as we get closer to the game, this means a couple things: 1.) If you think Florida will win bet now and lock in the spread, 2.) If you think Ohio State will win as the spread tightens it requires a slimmer margin to win the bet. Therefore at this point I would not bet the farm, or anything for that matter on Ohio St. A good indication of Ohio State's potential success could be how other Big 10 teams fair against the SEC teams, say Penn St. vs. Tennessee for example, or a team that Michigan beat like Notre Dame vs. LSU. A month away from the game is awful early to be betting but good luck.

Never bet more than you can afford to loose. I would think the Buckeyes are a heavy favorite. Florida has a great defense, but the offense sputters. Ohio State has no sputters anywhere. Considering the long layoff since each team will have played, the nerves, the enthusiasm, etc., anything can happen.

Ohio is a good pick. Florida is a strong team but doesn't have enough experience in high pressure games. Ohio has been a top team and even though I like Florida I think Ohio will pull it out. I wouldn't bet the whole farm...maybe just the barn! It'll be a tight game.

Listen dude, you may kill me afterwards but I'll put some facts and opinions out there cause I can't answer this one for you completely. The past 20 times that a #2 team has played the #1 team, the #2 team has covered 18 out of 20 times. That's a huge stat when you think about it...and that's not my opinion. Also, you have to take into consideration that while OSU will win, Tressel is too classy of a guy to run the score up. He'll get a comfortable lead and play as he needs. OSU is very capable of a blowout, but I strongly doubt it getting into double-digits.

I know this is a different game and has more on the line, but look up the scores of the OSU games this year. I think we beat up Northern Illinois pretty bad, but that was it. Hope this helps.

I think I would take Florida and the eight points at this stage of the game. With long layoffs, both teams are going to be rusty in the first half. Just the excitement and hype of the game is going to un-nerve the teams. While OSU may very well win the game, I think it will be close in the end.
