There are several reasons anybody making the comments you claim to have said could and should be sacked. Implicit racism is just one of them (an important one). Swearing is another. But most generally such a statement is just totally inappropriate behaviour towards a customer.

That's not really racist, although it could be thought of that way, as if you were telling him to leave (were you?) but in any case it's incredibly rude. Why would you say something like that? How pointless and mean. Especially since it's your job to answer those sorts of questions. Or was.

And if this is a joke, it isn't funny.

That was dreadful customer care. I worked for Victoria Wine, and would have expected to be sacked if I had spoken to a customer in that way.

I don't see how that's racist. It's certainly rude and uncalled for. Maybe you'd be better at construction or something that requires less thinking

Telling him to **** off wasn't racist. It might have been rude and stupid but not racist.
