Definition of Hedonic: Hedonic means of or relating to utility. (Literally, pleasure-related.) Hot tubs, good food, and a plethora of leisure time were the hallmarks of hedonistic society. I'm only on the good food but I'm really working at the leisure time bit. I'm not so sure about hot tubs, can't you get foot rot or worse from them?

You can in any number of ways. I don't because I am not prepared to live with the consequences, either personally or karmically. I would rather live a relatively chilled and healthy life with the people I truly love.
People who live entirely for personal pleasure often pay a rather heavy price and are often surrounded by hangers on and other selfish idiots.

Living a hedonistic life would be expensive and ultimately UNsatisfying because you would have to be able to pay for the pleasure-seeking time and you would not ever be satified. To do so, you have to have the philosophy "It is all about ME."
However, the far more satisfying life is lived by the credo, "It is all about God." Living for God's glory and honor provides satisfaction and peace even in the face of hard times.

living in pure hedonistic delight means someone else has to do the grunt work; what goes around comes around, so I'd rather look after myself and not treat others like I'm more valuable than they.
