They take a percentage. I think it is 3 cents for every dollar of change you process?

Edit: According to the Coinstar website, they charge 8.9% in the US, 9.8% in Canada, and 7.9% in the UK.

It's definitely not free. i think CoinStar takes 7 or 8 % of the total.

It would be better to roll it and take it to ur bank ( banks usually gives u free coin wrappers) if you don't have a bank to go to it doesn't matter if u take $5 or $500 its still charging u 9.8%

usually they charge, and rip you off. don't you have a commerce bank near you? it's free even if you don't have an account there. Some other banks do it as well.
