I have noticed they are much more likely to get your order right if you walk in and order, as opposed to drive through. Sometimes it's hard for them to hear because of the speakers, or because they are expected to do other things, which distracts them from taking your order. When you walk in, they cannot do anything but take your order, thus making it much more likely they take your order correctly.
Although, it's no guarantee they'll get your order right.. they might still mess it up!

McDonald's has done my order correctly before. My trick is to order through the drive thru and check it before I drive away. It was almost always wrong but I make them fix it before I let them move on to help the next car. If more people did this McDonald's would learn to do it right the first time. The time they spend on each order is recorded and the manager leans on those that take too long. Now my order is always correct at that location. Of course, there's nothing you can do about the potential language barrier unless you want to try to bridge it on a one to one basis....Happy Fast Food eating!

Well I actually work there as a side job and I am like an expert on it now, the only time I ever get the order wrong is if I can't hear them clearly or they don't speak english, or they just plain are confusing and they don't know what they want and order something wrong. Or could possibly be giving your order out to a new Employee , and they don't know crap. I hope that helps!

They always seem to f**k up my order whenever I am craving it the most! Then I'm like, Dammit! Cuz I couldn't wait to taste that double cheeseburger with the pickles and the onions and the ketchup and the mustard.........and then I get home and realize they gave me somebody's double hamburger plain! That has happened to me twice at two different McDonalds here in town. But I still keep going back. It is so sad. lol

I guess I'm the minority. We have a lot of people in my office *work for a doctor* and we do McD's prob once a week and they've only gotten something wrong two times in the year I've been here..and the drive through is actually pretty quick, even during the lunch rush *I work in Boca Raton, FL*

I don't usually have a problem with Micky Dees other than the fact that they are very slow.
Arby's on the other hand never gives me the kind of fries I ask for.

i just always check my order before i leave, even in drive thru - cause only getting your order right 1 out of 10 times isn't good enough for me.
