Is there anything more annoying?!? I respect people who go for higher education - I'm striving for a degree myself, at the moment - but just because someone was born 8 or so years before I was and has already had the opportunity to get their degree doesn't mean that they should have the right to patronize me! I intend to go for a grad. degree as well ..... just give me a few years! Anybody else have experience with professors that patronize?

There is nothing worse! Just take some pride in the fact that he or she is probably just compensating for some insecurity.
I had a double major and dropped it to a minor because my professor/adviser was so condescending. Looking back, I wish I would have told him what I really thought of him before I dropped the major. More dramatic, ya know?
