Right click the icon, go to Preferences or Settings, survey all the options, pick the one that sounds closest to "Alerts" or "Alarms", and you should be in the money.
Oh it's ad-ware, scratch everything I said. I thought it was an actual Anti-Virus software.
Use a program like SpyBot - Search & Destroy to remove spyware like this.

Is Virus Burst something you installed? If so, go to Start, Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs, then find it on the list and click to uninstall it. Otherwise, try the Yahoo toolbar with AntiSpy, which gets rid of a lot of crap on your computer.

Listen to Charleslee, or, go get http://pclinuxos.com as it is virus free. Linux is virus free since creation in 1992. All the "Nix are virus proof. FreeBSD (Berkeley Software Distribution) dates back to 1984.
Just think of Google.com running 100,000 Linux computers in super clusters; or, Hotmail.com, MSN.com, Microsoft.com all on their 45,000 Linux computers, and how they are target of more attacks than ever, but, haven't yet failed!

it must be a spyware or adware, see if you can uninstall it thru the Add/Remove program or else you might have to install an anti-spyware like Spybot or Lavasoft to get rid of that.
