First of all... be proud of your feet. It's a sign of the sacrifice you made to a beautiful art.
Beware of pedicure places, even the finest places have been known to transmit horrible infections by not sanitizing their tubs properly. If you have any wounds on your feet you could be very suseptable. I should either buy a home pedicure kit and pamper yourself occasionally, or if it makes you feel better, I'd mention that you are a ballerina when you go in to the place and they'll understand. I'm sure you're not the only ballerina they've had.
I'm also sure your feet are far better than the older clients with diabetes who go in for their mandatory pedicures (people w/ diabetes have a high risk of infection and must get pedicures or foot checks frequently, especially in old age)
No matter what you decide, remember your feet deserve it for serving you well through all those rehearsals!

I have ballerina feet as well and was embarrassed to go get a pedicure. I finally broke down and did it. I warned the lady doing my pedicure that I danced for 15 years and had ugly feet. That sort of broke the ice.....now I get pedicures every two weeks.
I am addicted.

My daughter has the same "problem - ballerina feet" so I know what you mean. Honestly, just as OB/GYN's have seen it ALL so do people who do pedicures, manicure, massages, etc. They get "immune" to seeing different things and if they are truly professional, they just want to help you feel good.
Go anyways, my daughter feels so good after spending hours on point.

I dated a ballerina an I loved her feet! Sure, they looked worn, but they were the sign of passionate artist. You should be proud of your feet. They display the artisan in you!
Anyway, I am certain that any Manicurist will tell you they've seen a lot worse!
Get a couple of referrals from people you trust. Meet the referrals and decide who you like.
Treat your feet to a great renewal and enjoy!

Don't worry what other people say. If somebody says something they're just jerks. Just ignore them and u will look like the better person. Go get a pedicure no matter what anybody says.

God made us all the same. Just know none of us are perferct, have you seen the ladys feet that do the pedicures. I would not worry about it. Just sit back and enjoy life. There are much bigger things to worry about than that. I know because my feet are not wonderful ethier. ha ha

Hey, you are perfect because you are you! Do you think every one is perfect? Nope! Every person has something she or he would like to change, to enhance, or just to get rid off. Go to the pedicure, enjoy the special treatment, and remember that you are special!

Don't be... they see hundreds of feet a day. They've smelled the worst and already touched the worst. Do it, your feet will thank you for it! It feels so nice!!!
