Yes it is and to go farther with your statement: if you listen closely to some of the comments the Bush administrations say, they sometimes will say things like the sunni extremists, etc... By them saying only sunni extremists and not including shia extremists, this clearly tells you they are on the shia side. It's like they are trying to make us believe there are only sunni extremists and not shia ones.

I think it has to do with the old Saddam Bathists being sunni. The irony is that the sunnis are the ones that believe in ppl being elected and the shia are the ones that believe leadership being inherited.

Actually we will be supporting the terrorists. How do i get there?.... That country has always been ruled by who is feared the most . Maliki won`t live long if he is true to democracy. Who ever is their *leader* will be working with the terrorist because if they don`t their families or themselves will be killed . So eventually all we supply them with be it knowledge or equipment whatever, will be used by the terrorist for the terrorist movement. Just give it a little time and watch.

The US all along has been supporting the Shiites....first with Chalabi and now.

But they are supposed to have a govt representative of all...Sunnis,Shiites and Kurds.

Edit: Beachbum- You're spot on! The US felt ANY group that supported the overthrowing of Saddam was good....and that's precisely why we supported Chalabi long before 9/11 and this "war".

Yes. This religious war is one we shouldn't get involved with. By arming Iraq, we are likely to arm a future enemy, and it is likel someone like Saddam will finally takes over again. Then he will have all our equipment and probably join in the distruction of Israel.
