You have picked up the pop-up virus. It is only a matter of days before that is all that will ever happen on your screen.

Your problen can be solved in 2 steps :
CLEANING :
use BOTH these Freeware cleaners
1) Lavasoft AdAware Se
2) Tenebril Spycatcher Express (requires a ON internet connection while scanning) or SpyBot S&D
(Only use credible products some free Antispyware products may themselves be a source of spyware, the above mentioned are all clean)
Then use your AntiVirus Progg. to scan & clean the PC if you don't have it,either use an online scanner (eg. Norton,McAffe) or you can download Freewares like AVG or AVAST or AntiVir (all free for personal use)

PREVENTION :
Use Spyware Blockers like SpywareBlaster & SpywareGuard (use simultaneously) or Arovax Shield along with the above stated Antispyware & AV proggs.

P.S.
The best universal answere to all PC problems is "DeepFreeze"(though it won't allow you to save things on your PC,I personally use DeepFreeze) or "Anti-Exicutable" (prevents exicutable prggs. like spywares & viruses)

Download, update and run Spybot---http://www.safer-networking.org/ . Don't forget to use the Immunize feature.

Download, update and run Adaware---http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/products/select_your_product.php

Download SpywareBlaster---http://majorgeeks.com/download2859.html

SpywareBlaster doesn't scan and clean for spyware - it prevents it from ever being installed.

It's main features include:
- Prevent the installation of ActiveX-based spyware, adware, browser hijackers, dialers, and other potentially unwanted pests.
- Block spyware/tracking cookies in Internet Explorer and Mozilla/Firefox.
- Restrict the actions of potentially dangerous sites in Internet Explorer.

Give a shot to SpyBot and AdAware. They may be able to help your problem. They are both freeware.

If the problem persists, try searching Google or a spyware or adware site with your symptoms. You may find specialized instructions for removal.

Download and run two free programs - Ad-aware SE Personal and Spybot Seek&Destroy. They are both available at http://download.com

Between them they should clear off the spyware that is giving you those popups.

Yeah, I agree with everyone who said adaware and spybot. I've been using those two for years and they're great.
