Earlier I asked about my relationship with my son's father and he has issues because he's recently homeless and has shacked up with another woman he says he's using for money cuz she's putting him up in a sleazy motel. She's also staying with him but she has a home. I know that i should be getting over him and decided to seek meetings out to attend for support. But he wants to see his son and I say he can't cuz the woman he's with is trying to trap him with a pregnancy herself and she's 46 shacked up in a motel in virginia beach(possibly the Sundial) if anyone knows it . His mother is around the same age and he is 30! I really know he can't see our son if he's with that woman cuz he says she was sick of hearing about him talk about me and his son so I know she has ill feelings toward my son. He is 9 now and his dad has been in and out of lock up most of his life. We tried to make a go of this but he had to beresponsble and get a place and hold his job. Am I wrong for this?

Why not try visits at your home or a public place (park, fast food place). Maybe that would get the father to grow up, get a job and lose the chick by spending time with his son and eventually get a court order for standard visitation.

It's still his son and you shouldn't take that away from him. Neither he nor your son will forgive you for that and you don't want your son hating you for not allowing him to see his father. Whether his visitation should be supervised or be restricted so that your son is not around this other woman is something for the Court to decide.

NO your not wrong for not wanting you son around that lady, but he does have a right to see his Dad.
Could you maybe meet them @ a public place where they won't make a seen or have your X come by himself to see your son ? That would be best & good luck w/ all
of this.

what is your problem, his relationship with that woman has nothing to do with you. you are preventing a boy to see his own father and that can cause resentment which would be credited to you. leave the man alone and let him see his child and dont use his girlfriend as an excuse just cause you want him back! be a real woman. only if she abuses or beat your child should you prevent this but otherwise stop thinking about yourself and think about your child.

I agree with Summer Time Mom, don't let your son see them alone, make it a public place, you might think about taking another adult with you. Be safe, not sorry for your son's sake.
