Most plumbers hang on to old toilets for this purpose, I know we do. What are you looking for?

Try old salvage building materials yards, flea markets, plumbing contractors may be a good try sense they are all the time replacing older toilets. Plumbers would probably give them to you for free to keep from having to dispose of them. Call some plumbers in the yellow pages, maybe they can find you one. Good luck.

Check craigslist in your city, salvage businesses and re-use-it centers. When we replaced our 5 gallon toilets to 1 1/2 gallons in our rental units, a company called Cleveland Wrecking in Los Angeles purchased them for resale in their salvage yard. You might also contact your state's highway maintenance (ours is CalTrans) because they use the crushed up toilets in highway construction. Ask where they get theirs.
