I am wearing a black just-below-the-knee dress tomorrow with black sheer hose and am considering wearing the shoes below. Is that ok? Or do I have to be wearing something red?

I would also make sure that your other accessories match - get a purse, necklace and earrings the same shade of red and that will tie the entire outfit together.

shoes look great.. but i wud pass on the hose... makes it too formal i think.. carry a deep red bag to make it more interesting..

red is fine in fact i think it'd be cute. but it depends on the style of the dress and the shoes but in most cases ya thatd be rele cute!!!!
