Some math help needed please.?

A collection of coins contains N nickels and Q quarters. The total value is 285 cents. Write a linear equation with Variables N and Q which describes the total value of the collection.

Each nickel is worth 5 cents and each quarter 25 cents.
So the total value is given by
5N + 25Q = 285
or, dividing out the 5,
N + 5Q = 57.
