Half the time he just doesn't feel like having sex and when he does I am always on top and it can be frustrating to the point where I just don't try as much anymore. Why should he have all the pleasure? I can't remember the last time he initiated sex. I want him to be a man and take charge sometimes, and not always have to be the aggressor. He is otherwise very affectionate and loving. He didn't used to smoke as much so I am wondering if this is the problem?

Yes, I think anytime you have something like that in your system (drugs, alcohol etc) it would inhibit you from performing any activity especially sex. I agree that it would be nice for you to enjoy yourself as well. Maybe talk to him about the smoking problem.

Any time you ask a question like this you will get more misinformation than real information. You will note that nearly every answer is just someone's opinion with no references to back it up.

The short answer is that marijuana does not negatively affect libido for most people. Lots of people regard it as an aphrodisiac.

There are a number of possible answers for your problem. One is that he is just like that. He may just not have as much sex drive as other guys. (If he is overweight, you probably have an explanation right there. Impotence goes up significantly with an increasing waistline.)

Another is some other health problem. You might want to encourage him to get a general checkup.

There may be a psychological problem. There could be a common psychological problem -- stress or anxiety -- that could cause both issues.

It could also be that the initial heat of the relationship has faded somewhat. It is well known that guys tend to become used to their partners and don't have the really hot reactions they had when the relationship just started.

Yes, pot decreases the libido. It takes quite a bit of pot to create this chronic problem. I would say he has a serious problem if he never initiates sex and you always have to be on top.

I would give him an ultimatum to get help for his addiction or leave him behind.

More than likely yes and drinking can also lower libido. My advise is get you some toys and get yourself off in front of him that might make him aroused..Couldnt hurt.

I DON'T THINK IT DOES, BUT IT DOES AFFECT PEOPLE IN DIFFERENT WAYS, MAYBE IT MAKES HIM LETHARGIC, IF THAT'S THE CASE, TELL HIM TO SMOKE IT AFTERWARDS.
THAT MAY HELP SOMEWHAT. APPROACH HIM AND BE BOLD
ABOUT IT!!!
