check with your local healthclub or park district. there are "mommy and me" yoga classes where you actually participate with the baby and it's a lot of fun and you can bond with baby and meet other new moms as well and form bonds with other neighborhood children as well. in a few months, there should be mommy and me swim classes thru ur local pool and that's a BLAST!! i did it with my son and he still remembers everytime we drive by the pool.

Diet will be key. Make sure you eat healthy. It will be easy to just eat quick fast meals when you have someone else to take care of.

Exercise is also very important. Sometimes it's hard for new moms to get into a rut of getting to the gym, because so many new things are going on. It may be a better idea to sign up for a class, so that you have a set time that everyone knows you will be leaving the house. That will give you the opportunity to plan ahead and leave numbers with a babysitter or family member, and not have to worry about your child being in safe hands.

There is a good chance your body won't be exactly the same afterward, especially if your belly got pretty stretched out during the pregnancy. It is possible to get back down to your pre-pregnancy weight, though. Breastfeeding helps because you burn more calories, but you also have to make sure you are eating enough to give you and the baby adequate nutrition. Diet and exercise are the only things that will work. The less weight you gain, the easier it is to lose.

Breastfeeding worked wonders for me. I have twins so you can imagine how much I gained! Well, with nursing the two of them I was back in my pre-pregnancy clothes in 8 weeks. Now, at 11 months I'm 15 pounds LIGHTER than I was when I got pregnant.

I make an effort to eat right because what I'm eating is what the babies are getting in the breastmilk. So that helps. Plus, I make sure to take at least one walk a day.

Everyone's body is different. Good luck!

There is no "exact method" to follow. Everyone's body is different. My first child was born in April so I would put her in the stroller and walk a few times a day. I was in my "normal" clothes just 3 weeks later.

You shouldn't go on a diet because you will need your energy. Don't be in a hurry hun, it will all come together in time. Good luck with the baby.

I nursed my boys for one year. I truly believe that really helped - not so much the first 3 months, but as they ate more, they burned more of my calories. Then, I stopped eating real lunches (no leftovers from dinner the night before). I ate fruit, salad, cheese sticks, popcorn every 3-4 hours until dinner. THen, I just ate a sensible dinner. I did walk daily. Usually up atleast one big hill. Any exercise you get will help. Best of luck!

I say eat well still as you were during your pregnancy, but try to cut back on the carbs, keep them in your diet but make them very few, this helped me. You will not see results until at least a week or two after you cut the carbs out of your diet, so dont get discouraged, it will come! Good luck
