I started setting it up when I was doing research on products. As I would make a decision to add something, I would go online and add it. So I was setting it up from about 2 months along, all the way up until the shower!

I would set your registry up at least two months before your shower because although most people are last minute shoppers some like to get things out of the way and even get an idea ahead of time, in case they need to save a little extra money.

It's a good idea to wait until after you know what the sex of the baby is going to be. If you don't plan on finding out what the sex is, then set it up about 4 weeks before your baby shower, so everyone will have time to shop. You can have your baby shower any time. Some people have them later in the 3rd trimester, others wait until after the baby is born. It just depends on what you want.

I'd say around 6-7 months. I have heard that if you do it way early, you kinds jinx yourself by either having the wrong colors for the sex of the baby or something horrible like a miscarriage happens. I wouldn't wish that on anyone, but when you get the ultrasounds later on in your pregnancy, then you are more able to find out the sex and exactly what you need for th ebaby, not nonsense gadgets and hundred dollar toys that they won't need. I set mine up at 5 months because everyone kept asking us what we wanted and needed. It was just easier to have a registry ready to send people to instead of answering a bunch of questions.

Around 5 or 6 months. If you are finding out the sex of the baby it gives you a chance to decide on the theme for your nursery.

I say when the mother to be is 5 months going on 6 so this gives everyone enuff time to buy her stuff and for u to add on things that u forgot

Generally it makes sense to do it before your baby shower. If you are not planning to have a baby shower, I would say somewhere in your 5th month would seem to be reasonable and not overly forward.
