Our babysitter is really excellent and I plan on giving her a big cash bonus, but wanted to give her a small (~$20) gift (not a gift card) "from the children" also. She is in college and not very "fluffy". I was thinking of a Body Shop gift basket- sound good?

bath stuff is nice, but i plan to get my son's daycare teachers lotto tickets.
sounds kind of cheesy, but almost everyone i know likes a good scratch-off and who knows...maybe she'll win!!

or you could get her a nice hat, scarf, glove set from lands end or penney's.

or a gift card to bath and body works. that way she can pick the scents she likes or the spa stuff she wants.

i've received many bath sets and usually don't use them b/c they are scents i just don't like.

take care:)

The Body Shop stuff is a great idea!

You could also do a "movie" basket- put in some microwave popcorn, some candy (like Hershey bars or something else sold at the theatres), and maybe a DVD or a card to Blockbuster to rent movies. She could get together with her college friends and have a movie night!

She will be thrilled with your gifts!

I was going to say Cash, but you've got that part covered, so a gift basket sounds nice. If you live somewhere cold a matching fleece hat scarf and gloves set isn't too $$ either.

I know you said No Gift Cards. But a "Build A Bear" gift card I feel would be perfect. She has the experience of making the bear, dressing the bear, then she has the bear to remember your children. Also she could take your children with her and they can help!

i would say a home made christmas card, with a home baked cake from the kids. I know it sounds scary, but the kids will love it and so will she.
(I know i would, i'm 20, and work with kids)

The only probs i have with a bath kit is that it's so typicall christmassy, a lot of people give bath stuff at christmas.
OR
so nice accessories. i.e. for her hair, or a necklace etc.

The gift basket is a great idea. Make sure you know what she likes and make sure she isn't allergic to anything.

Why not a gift certificate? from an electronics store where they sell CDs, etc?
